It reads as a deliberate look rather than a costume — exactly the lane this article is about — and it photographs better than most of the store-bought stuff in the room.

Style Around Halloween Colors

If even an accessory feels like too much, build your outfit in orange and black, or go deep purple and green. A burnt-orange top with black pants reads as festive without a single prop. Add dark nails or a dark lip and you look styled for the season instead of costumed for it.
